I am David Rivinus, author of the book Always Dreaming, now in its second edition.
I have been helping people interpret their dreams since I began studying the phenomenon of dreaming back in the late 1960s. Along the way I discovered that the dreaming process does not stop when we awaken in the morning. This was a revelation to me--and now, a revelation to hundreds of other dreamers with whom I have worked. It is astonishing to know that one can interpret the unusual--at times uncomfortable--events of our waking lives as if they were dreams.
When I had worked with this concept enough to feel confident about its consistency--indeed, universality--I wrote the book Always Dreaming to document my findings and offer techniques to anyone interested.
When the book was first published in 2002, it led to a series of interviews, classes, workshops--both in the US and overseas--magazine articles, and appearances both online and, less formally, over the radio. It was an exciting decade!
Then COVID reared its destructive and disruptive head, and things seemed to slow to a crawl. But only for a time. Now, I have gone back and rewritten Always Dreaming, updating it with some more recent discoveries about the phenomenon of dreaming.
I am a decade older; less interested in setting the world on fire, but still happy and excited to help dreamers who would like a better understanding of this peculiar, at times perplexing phenomenon.
At my home on the Central Oregon coast, I work in person, teaching classes and hosting a monthly dream group.. I also offer Zoom sessions for anyone interested who happens to be farther afield. Please feel free to contact me if you have a question. For a Zoom session, I charge the nominal fee of $40.

I look forward to hearing from you!
